We had a great experience...

We had a great experience with platypus tours and I would use them again without hesitation. Prior to the tour, they communicated with us about our pickup and details about what the expect. On the day of, we were picked up at our hotel right on time, and taken to three wineries, one well known one and two smaller boutique ones. Each winery had great service and quality wines, and the included lunch was tasty and served in a beautiful setting at the second winry. We also enjoyed the group of people we went with and it was an overall great experience. The tasting fees are not included, but are discounted for the tour members so it really was reasonably priced. Taking ubers to these wineries alone would probably cost as much, if not more, than this tour, so it was an incredible value. I cannot recommend this tour enough, and would definitely use Platypus again when I'm in the area.

Worth it for the drive alone

Used this for a day in Napa with my wife and a friend. Entered the Cool Sonoma code in the app, picked three wineries, it mapped the drive. Audio started on its own as we got near each place and gave some background on the property, a couple of minutes each. Also talked on the road between stops, which we didn't expect. Download it before you leave town, signal is patchy up valley. Otherwise no complaints. Cheaper than a guide and we went at our own pace.

Awesome Private and Safe tour!

David was incredible. He arrived early, kept us perfectly on schedule, and made it effortless for us to relax and fully enjoy the wineries. We opted for the scenic routes, and he turned the drive into a personal tour of wine country — we genuinely learned more from him than at the wineries themselves. He was exceptionally thoughtful, providing snacks, water, and anticipating anything we might need. I would highly recommend Designated Drivers, and David in particular. He truly made our trip unforgettable.

Napa Train Ride For Lunch

It was a really nice and relaxing experience in the Vista Dome with beautiful scenery and views. Staff was professional and friendly, and food was top notch. Only thing I would say is the bathrooms and speaker system need to be upgraded, and they need to have better climate control because it was cold and the AC was really loud. Other than that, I enjoyed the experience.

Superb

We took this train trip for my husband’s birthday. The train itself is beautiful inside and out. The dome car is very plush and offers excellent views. From the moment we sat down until the time we disembarked our waiter Max was very attentive. The food was superb and the wines were wonderful. Maxx provided many interesting facts about the areas we traveled through and when we asked for a recommendation on wine he did not disappoint! Overall it was a wonderful trip and well worth the money.

Prisoner tasted great

It was an experience featuring Asian dim sum items. They were all delicious and I enjoyed the sauces that accompanied. Our waitress, or rather tasting guide was delightful and provided plenty of information. Not sure if the pairing complimented the wine but definitely did not hinder it.
