We had a great experience...
We had a great experience with platypus tours and I would use them again without hesitation. Prior to the tour, they communicated with us about our pickup and details about what the expect. On the day of, we were picked up at our hotel right on time, and taken to three wineries, one well known one and two smaller boutique ones. Each winery had great service and quality wines, and the included lunch was tasty and served in a beautiful setting at the second winry. We also enjoyed the group of people we went with and it was an overall great experience. The tasting fees are not included, but are discounted for the tour members so it really was reasonably priced. Taking ubers to these wineries alone would probably cost as much, if not more, than this tour, so it was an incredible value. I cannot recommend this tour enough, and would definitely use Platypus again when I'm in the area.

Worth it for the drive alone
Used this for a day in Napa with my wife and a friend. Entered the Cool Sonoma code in the app, picked three wineries, it mapped the drive. Audio started on its own as we got near each place and gave some background on the property, a couple of minutes each. Also talked on the road between stops, which we didn't expect. Download it before you leave town, signal is patchy up valley. Otherwise no complaints. Cheaper than a guide and we went at our own pace.

Very enjoyable experience! Though we expected to join a group of happy strangers, our tour was private, with Peter escorting us in his Lexus SUV. He was informative and easy-going, just rolling with the detours and broken down sheep haulers in the hills! Each winery had it's unique personality and charm. Nice vegetarian box lunch in a beautiful spot. Highly recommend PRIDE winery, if you can choose. Hope to do this again!

Our driver was very nice. Educated us on history of the region with many stories and insights. Had great time at the wineries. All wineries were exclusively pre-arranged for us based on our preferences after we disclosed our budget to the company. All went smoothly . Better than expected. Great Winery Day!
First time in Napa Valley and my daughter and I were on a girls trip to celebrate her graduating Grad School. We booked this winery tour very easily through Cool Sonoma. We went to three small wineries - that don't distribute wine to stores. Only sell direct to consumer, or some to restaurants. The wineries and vineyards were very small, family owned and our group was the only ones doing tastings while we were there - which gave us the full attention of the owners. We went to Laura Michael, Todeski, and one other (can't remember the name). We also stopped at Chateau Montelana for some pictures - but didn't do a tasting. It was very pretty place for pics. Our tour guide "Armie" was very good, he was very knowledgeable about the area and told us some of the history along the way, and he told us about each winery we visited. He also helped us when our tastings were over with our purchases. He was great!! I would have liked to stop at one more for a tasting, maybe a bigger winery, just for a bit of a different experience, but I would highly recommend this tour!

Picked us up at R Inn where we stayed in Napa. Our guide/driver Andy Hyman was phenomenal. Knowledgeable, fun, patient and super friendly and willing to answer any questions. We had a total of 11 people and we and got along. It was a fun and enjoyable day!
