Napa Valley Wine Train Tours

It was a really nice and relaxing experience in the Vista Dome with beautiful scenery and views. Staff was professional and friendly, and food was top notch. Only thing I would say is the bathrooms and speaker system need to be upgraded, and they need to have better climate control because it was cold and the AC was really loud. Other than that, I enjoyed the experience.

We took this train trip for my husband’s birthday. The train itself is beautiful inside and out. The dome car is very plush and offers excellent views. From the moment we sat down until the time we disembarked our waiter Max was very attentive. The food was superb and the wines were wonderful. Maxx provided many interesting facts about the areas we traveled through and when we asked for a recommendation on wine he did not disappoint! Overall it was a wonderful trip and well worth the money.

Awesome ride - we've ridden trains in 26 states. This is a first class operation. Easy to make a reservation, very nice waiting room before boarding the train. The train itself is well preserved, the host was exceptionally friendly and helpful in explaining the history of the valley and the wineries along the way. Food was outstanding. Highly recommend for a great night out.

WOW! My husband and I chose the shorter, 3 hour train ride from Napa to St. Helena and back in the dining car with the 3 course gourmet meal and it was FANTASTIC. The views were spectacular, the train ride was so cool, the server was AMAZING as was all of the food!! So much flavor, and the portions were perfect. We are simple, regular people from Nebraska, and were a little worried that it would be too "gourmet" to taste good for "meat n potatoes" kind of folks, but we took a chance - and I tell you this food was delicious. Absolutely. SO GOOD. The cost of the experience was very reasonable considering all that you get. I tried the Millionaire's Coffee off of the drinks menu which was so, so yummy. Such a wonderful, unforgettable experience. We highly recommend it! Afterwards, we booked a tour of a local winery and the caves with a tasting, which was great as well. A perfect day.

This was a fantastic experience ! Went for my birthday and it was absolutely perfect !! The service , the food , the wine , the views and the train itself was so luxurious . I highly recommend this for anyone !!

EVERYONE from the front desk ladies, the lady at the snack counter, picture taker, server, and those we encountered boarding and exiting the train were kind, friendly and helpful.Marnie, our server was AMAZING. We had to wait on the track for about an hour due to engine issues, then the rest of the tour was cancelled. Marnie continued to keep us informed and served us our meals and beverages. She even went from table to table checking if there was something we wanted to know more about the tour. She talked about the train and the vineyards we wanted to know more about.After the engine issue the company went out of their way to provide the best customer service possible. I was so impressed with the company's commitment to quality and their customers.The view was wonderful. The food was incredible! High quality, cooked to perfection. It had to be one of the best, most delish meals I have ever had. What a perfect 40th anniversary!

Great food, nice wine samplings, beautiful view. We had a wonderful afternoon, staff was nice and we really enjoyed the experience.

A friend and I have always wanted to do the Wine Train and we finally decided on the Gourmet Dinner. Upon boarding the train we were seated at a nice booth and were give a glass of champagne, we were greeted by our server who was so sweet. The menu options were great and we both had the short rib with mashed potatoes and grilled carrots. For desert we had the crème Brule and the lemon tarte which was to die for. And the scenery I have to say was beautiful with the sun setting over all of the vineyards. I know that some would say that it's expensive and not worth it but, if it's on your bucket list believe me it's a must do. I plan on doing it again with my daughter very soon.

This was great, and fun. We did the dining option, which was as others have said expensive. However, it was 6 hours, two winery stops, one tasting on the train stop, and a breakfast, then lunch three courses. Two 24 person cars, fun hosts, and great scenery on the ride (can't see that when you have to drive). Our winery stops were, Charles Krug and V Sattui. Both had nice tastings and were very informative ( See separate reviews).

Fantastic. Maxx was wonderful. The short ribs were perfection. This was an anniversary celebration we will not forgot. This was our first trip to Napa hopefully not our last. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

One of our best outings in Napa. The service was incredible. Wonderful attentive staff, relaxing enjoyable ride, and excellent meals. Initially I thought it was pricey however the experience justified the cost. Great job Jamie and others for an outstanding trip. The train travels down through Napa Valley and back with commentary on the surrounding wineries in the area.
